Hands-On Cinco de Mayo Fiesta

Join us for a South-of-the-Border fiesta celebrating Mexican ingredients and flavors in this hands-on class. Arriba!!  This menu just happens to be gluten free!

Menu: 

• Coctel de Camarones (Spicy Mexican Shrimp Cocktail)
• Spice-Roasted Chicken and Poblano Enchiladas Verdes 
• Mexican Rice and Beans   
• Kahlua-Flambéed Bananas with Ice Cream and Toasted Coconut

Skills covered in class: 

• Getting familiar with Mexican ingredients
• Selecting and grilling chicken
• Selecting and poaching shrimp
• Determining chicken doneness
• Working with tomatillos  
• Steaming rice
• Selecting avocados 
• Working with spices
• Flambéing

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
