Ready to level up your baking skills and immerse yourself in the art of extraordinary pastries? Using classic French techniques with a modern approach, our Chopping Block Chef will guide you through the art and science of creating professional, show-stopping desserts made approachable for the home baker. Students will prepare three stunning, bakery-worthy desserts while mastering the role of baking ingredients, cake mixing, custards, caramel, chocolate work, gelatin, pastry cream and more.
You’ll learn how to frost and pipe like a pro, cook sugar to the perfect stage, fold whipped components for light texture, prepare flaky pastry dough, and confidently work with chocolate and ganache. By the end of class, you’ll leave with refined skills, professional techniques and beautiful desserts worthy of any celebration.
A vegetarian lunch will be served during class, and you'll go home with a box of your desserts to share with family and friends. Please note that a couple of the recipes contain gelatin, and are therefore not truly vegetarian.
