Kids' Cooking Class: Hands-On French Pastries

Kids, ages 7 to 12, are invited to join us for a fun hands-on class where you get to eat what you make! Our chef will teach your kids all about the tools, ingredients and techniques needed to successfully prepare fabulous French pastries from scratch. 

Menu:

• Crêpes with Nutella and Strawberry Jam 
• Chocolate Pot de Crème with Whipped Cream
• Lemon Tart with Raspberries   

Skills Covered in Class: 

• Preparing crêpe batter
• Making jam
• Using cornstarch as a thickener
• Making and baking custard
• Whipping cream
• Preparing hot butter pastry
• Making citrus curd
• Separating eggs 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
