Join us for a virtual cooking class as our Chopping Block chef teaches you how to prepare a fresh and seasonal Mexican meal via a Zoom demonstration.
This class is in partnership with Autism Speaks and you can choose to make a donation to support their mission in promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of people with autism and their families. All of the donations will go directly to the organization.
Menu:
- Grilled “Elote” Salad (Grilled Corn, Jalapeno and Lime)
- Shrimp, Avocado and Black Bean Tostadas with Tomatillo Salsa

- Getting familiar with Mexican ingredients
- Grilling vegetables
- Balancing flavors
- Selecting and sautéing shrimp
- Selecting avocados
- Working with tomatillos, fresh herbs and spices
Our Virtual Cooking Demonstrations, via Zoom, are a fun opportunity to watch your chef in action. During class, your chef will teach you how to prepare the dishes while you observe and take notes. Our Zoom moderator will make sure your questions submitted through the chat option are answered during or after class. The recipe packet will be provided upon registration. Please note that some recipe steps may be prepared ahead due to the length of the class.
Since our stores remain closed for COVID-19, we unfortunately cannot accept gift cards as form of payment for virtual classes at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience!
