Hands-On Family Class: Noon Year's Eve: Asian Adventure

Enjoy the opportunity to celebrate New Year's Eve with the whole family! Have fun preparing and eating an Asian feast while ringing in the New Year. This hands-on class is designed for children ages 6 and older to cook with their parents, families or guardians.

Menu: 

• Pork Pot Stickers with Soy Dipping Sauce
• Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein
• Sweet and Sour Shrimp with Pineapple, Peppers and Steamed Rice 
• Ginger Pot de Crème 

Skills covered in class:

• Getting familiar with Asian ingredients
• Preparing ground meat fillings
• Working with dumpling wrappers
• Pan frying and steaming
• Preparing Asian sauces
• Working with Asian noodles
• Selecting and stir-frying beef
• Selecting and dredging shrimp
• Balancing flavors 
• Making and baking custards 

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.
