We are thrilled to welcome winemaker Roberto Stucchi Prinetti of Badia a Coltibuono in Chianti Classico for a winemaker meet and greet - all the way from Tuscany! The winemaker and owner of one of Chianti Classico’s most famed estates will be leading a tasting of three of his organic wines:
- Cultusboni Cetamura Chianti
- Cultusboni Chianti Classico RS (the wine bears his initials)
- Chianti Classico Estate (which we carry in our store!)
Roberto's mother Lorenza de Medici founded the first cooking school in Tuscany and it is there where our Cook Like a Tuscan travelers enjoy one of the four cooking classes on our tour.
Roberto is a trailblazer among the new generation of winemakers, seamlessly blending his family's legacy with a modern approach to winemaking. He spearheaded the conversion of the family estate to organic farming, earning certification two decades ago - an impressive milestone, especially on land with over 1,000 years of winemaking history.
Soft-spoken yet deeply passionate about his craft and the wines of Chianti Classico, Roberto is a prominent voice in the Italian wine industry. He champions sustainability while continuing to innovate with indigenous Italian grape varieties in Badia a Coltibuono’s signature wines.
